The Drive with Brian Wilson

The Drive with Brian Wilson, On-Air Weekdays 3pm-7pm on SuperTalk 99.7 WTN

Veteran Broadcaster Brian Wilson is the host of the The Drive each day on SuperTalk 99.7 each afternoon 3-7PM. Brian began his broadcast career in Odessa, Texas at the age of 19 as the News Director of his hometown radio station KOZA. After winning a series of awards he advanced to the world of television news working for a time in Amarillo, Texas, Odessa, Texas, Mobile, Alabama — eventually landing in Washington, DC’s WTTG in 1986. After six years as a Capitol Hill Correspondent and six years as Morning Anchor at the Fox-owned station, he became a White House Correspondent for the Fox News Channel. In addition to the White House and Capitol Hill, Brian has at times covered the Pentagon, The Supreme Court … and just about every major agency in DC.

Having the desire to offer opinion, Brian joined the team at Cumulus Radio’s powerhouse News-Talk station WMAL in Washington as the co-host of it’s popular morning show where he served for another 6 years. After 31 years in the Nation’s Capitol, Brian took a short sabbatical for what he calls a “swamp detoxification.” In 2018, Cumulus summoned him to Nashville for some fill-in work, but he unexpectedly fell in love with Music City, the fabulous staff at WWTN, and the warm, welcoming hospitality of the people of Middle Tennessee. Starting first as the host of Nashville’s Morning News, he moved to afternoon drive in late 2021 following the untimely passing of legendary broadcaster Phil Valentine. Brian and his wife, Dawn, have made Middle Tennessee their forever home where they share their home with a troublesome French Bulldog named Grogu.
