“The 2nd Amendment IS Homeland Security” started as an impromptu speech and evolved into a program of music, monologue and dialogue, focused on the role of the 2nd Amendment and its devotees as “the last line of defense” against America’s terrorist enemies.
Country Music legend Larry Gatlin will headline the entertainment when “The 2nd Amendment IS Homeland Security” presents its 1st anniversary show to kick off Independence Day weekend at Charlie Daniels Park in Mt. Juliet, Saturday July 2nd.
Joining Bristol along the way to form an ensemble cast and crew were:
• Singer-songwriters Adam Pope (“Ain’t Over it Yet”) and Taylor Bennett (“The 2nd Amendment Will Survive”)
• Retired patriots Kevin and Laura Baigert, who manage “the store,” where people attending the program can buy hats, t-shirts, polos, coffee mugs and more – emblazoned with “The 2nd Amendment IS Homeland Security”
• Nashville Tea Party Founder Ben Cunningham, who provides and engineers the PA system to reach the swelling crowds, which grew to several hundred after the first two shows.
• Breitbart contributor Michael Patrick Leahy, who has acted as the official tour historian.
• Lee Beaman, Chairman of Beaman Automotive Group, who provides new trucks to be used as “stages” for many of the programs.
Also, the nation’s most widely quoted researcher on gun-related crime and crime-prevention issues, Dr. John Lott Jr., President of the Crime Prevention Research Center, will make a live appearance and add to the surging star-power of “The 2nd Amendment Is Homeland Security” program July 2nd at 10 a.m. at the amphitheater of Charlie Daniels Park in Mt. Juliet, TN.
