TENNESSEE CITY, TN (WSMV) – Agents from the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation investigate an officer-involved shooting in Dickson County.
The TBI said they were asked to investigate by District Attorney General Ray Crouch. The TBI said the shooting happened on Dupree Road in Tennessee City after Dickson County deputies were trying to serve a warrant to a man at the property. This all happened around noon Tuesday.
Authorities say the suspect took off in a vehicle when they saw the deputies. The suspect later ran into the woods near the house. Officials say when deputies tried to confront the suspect, he pulled out a gun. Deputies fired their weapons, hitting him twice. The victim was air lifted to a Nashville hospital.
