Search is underway for a home burglar in Hendersonville

HENDERSONVILLE, TN (WSMV) – Hendersonville Police are looking for a person believed to have robbed a home on Wednesday.

HPD has surveillance footage of the suspect walking up to a house on Deerpoint Drive and knocking on the door to see if anyone was inside.

Burglary victim Brooke Flowers said her Ring camera caught clear images of the suspect. The video also showed the suspect arriving in a U-Haul truck.

Flowers said saw this guy standing outside her house in real-time from work through her doorbell camera and even watched him walk away from her front door.

“U-Haul truck, you think maybe you’re helping somebody move in, so I didn’t think much of it,” Flowers said.

When she arrived home hours later, though, it was clear she was the victim of a burglary.

“I just noticed that something was off,” Flowers said. “All my stuff was everywhere, and my window was open.”

Police believe he parked the U-Haul up the street, went through the woods, and pried open a window at the back of her home, stealing and breaking thousands of dollars’ worth of her stuff.

But what makes this crime seem brazen to some, is what Flowers said made it all the more inconspicuous.

“It’s not out of the ordinary. Everybody’s moving to Nashville, everybody’s moving to Hendersonville,” Flowers said. “I thought he was just trying to help a friend.”

Hendersonville Police are asking anyone with information on the identity of the person to contact their detectives at 615-264-5331.
